How to Route a Soundcraft Si Impact with Waves SuperRack Performer

Step 1: Save the Working System Before Making Changes
Before changing any routing, save a new copy of both systems.
- Save the current Soundcraft Si Impact Show under a new name.
- Save the current SuperRack Performer session under a new name.
- Confirm that the Soundcraft USB/MADI driver is selected in SuperRack.
- Keep the PA at a safe level while testing.
- Keep the reverb-return faders down until the signal path is confirmed.
Suggested Si Impact Show name: SOS 1 – Shared Reverb Working
Suggested SuperRack session name: SOS 1 – Reverb Working.sprk
Step 2: Understand the MADI-USB Channel Offset
In this working system, Si Impact MADI USB card numbers above 32 appear inside SuperRack as Soundcraft channels numbered 32 lower.

SuperRack channel number = Si Impact MADI USB card number minus 32.
Step 3: Confirm the Normal Waves Vocal Routing
Do not build the shared reverb until the normal Waves vocal channels are working correctly.
- Select dry vocal Channel 16 on the Si Impact.
- Open Input 16 Setup.
- Confirm that the Input Patch is the correct stage-rack input.
- The working lead vocal uses SR A-16.
- Confirm that DirectOut Patch is MADI USB Card 34.
- In SuperRack, confirm the lead-vocal rack input is Soundcraft 2.
- Talk into the microphone and confirm the SuperRack input meter moves.
- Confirm the processed vocal returns to its normal Waves return channel and is heard in LR.
Step 4: Create Mix 11 as the Waves Reverb Send
- Press the physical Mix 11 button on the Si Impact.
- Confirm that the Mix 11 button lights orange.
- Select the Mix 11 master.
- Open Mix 11 Setup.
- Set Mix Width to Mono.
- Under Patching, set Output Patch 01 Left to Multi Digital In/Out Card → MADI USB Card 54.
- Leave Output Patch 01 Right unused because Mix 11 is mono.
- Raise the Mix 11 master fader to approximately 0 dB for testing.
- While Mix 11 is selected, raise the send fader for one test vocal, normally Channel 16.
- Talk into the microphone and confirm that the Mix 11 master meter moves.
Step 5: Build the Dedicated SuperRack H-Reverb Rack
- Choose one unused SuperRack rack.
- The working session uses the rack labeled CH20.
- Set the rack input to Soundcraft 22.
- Insert only Waves H-Reverb in this rack.
- Do not place CLA-76, C6, PSE, or other vocal-processing plugins in the shared reverb rack.
- Open H-Reverb.
- Set the Mix/Wet control to 100% wet.
- Talk into the test microphone.
- Confirm both the SuperRack input and output meters move.
- Assign the rack output to the stereo return route used by Si Impact Channels 37 and 38.
H-Reverb Starting Settings
- Wet/Dry: 100% wet
- Decay: approximately 1.6 to 2.2 seconds
- Pre-delay: approximately 50 to 80 milliseconds
Fine-tune these settings during soundcheck. A smaller or more reflective room will normally need less decay and less overall reverb.
Step 6: Set Up the Stereo Reverb Return
The final Waves reverb return is located on Layer B of the Si Impact.

- Bring Channels 37 and 38 up together.
- Start both return faders near -10 dB.
- Keep both faders at matching levels.
- Make sure both channels are assigned to LR.
- While Mix 11 is selected, keep Channels 37 and 38 muted, off, or fully down in that mix.
- Do not send Channels 37 and 38 back into Mix 11.
Step 7: Send Every Vocal to the Shared Reverb
Press Mix 11. The channel faders now control how much of each dry vocal is sent into Waves H-Reverb.

- Press Mix 11.
- Raise the Mix 11 send on dry vocal Channels 15 through 19 as needed.
- Test one microphone at a time.
- Confirm the Mix 11 master meter moves for each vocal.
- Listen to the reverb tail after stopping speech.
- Adjust each singer with that singer’s Mix 11 send.
- Use Channels 37 and 38 together as the master reverb level.
Step 8: Normal Show-Day Startup Checklist
- Power on the Si Impact and stagebox first.
- Wait for the console and stagebox to finish starting.
- Start the Waves laptop.
- Connect the USB/MADI cable.
- Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Close unnecessary programs.
- Open Waves SuperRack Performer.
- Load SOS 1 – Reverb Working.sprk.
- Load the matching Si Impact Show.
- Confirm the sample rate is 48 kHz.
- Confirm the audio buffer is 128 samples.
- Test the dry vocal monitor path.
- Test the processed Waves FOH return.
- Press Mix 11 and confirm the vocal sends are present.
- Confirm the reverb rack input and output meters move.
- Confirm Channels 37 and 38 are ON in LR.
- Confirm Channels 37 and 38 are not feeding Mix 11.
- Bring the PA up slowly and adjust the final reverb level.

Step 10: Save and Back Up the Working System
- In SuperRack, choose Save As.
- Save inside the default SuperRack Sessions folder.
- Use a clear name such as SOS 1 – Reverb Working.sprk.
- On the Si Impact, save the Show under a matching name.
- Make another copy of the SuperRack file on a USB drive or OneDrive.
- Restart both systems and confirm the routing loads correctly.
